The problem with 3D printing...

Spent the last few nights playing with the new purchases from the weekend and cleaning up stuff I'd like to paint up soon. Amongst them is the rather nice Secret Weapon barricade terrain sets. I picked up both available sets, the scrapyard set which has a crashed fighter jet cockpit, a flipped on it's side smallish half track and a built up barricade. That set is pretty much good to go straight out of the bag.

The second set is the blown up tank. It comes in three parts, the front, the back and the blown of and on it's side turret. The detail on the tank is great but the issue is the striations left by the 3D printing process. Most manufacturers clean these up on the master before making molds but evidently it slipped through on this kit. All the upper surfaces are smooth but the sides are covered in horizontal lines. The way to fix the problem was to put on the new Muse album and sand away for the next couple hours with a small square tipped file.
