I have painted another thing. This time I picked up a Panzer IV from the new TANKS game by Battlefront. It's kind of the X-wing dog fighting version of Flames of War reusing the kits they already make but with tank cards and upgrade and crew cards you points buy just like X-wing and a very cheap price. I got this partly from curiosity about the game but mostly to do the main tank from Girls und Panzer the best sports anime of all time :D the little plastic kit went together very cleanly and easily but I made my life difficult by starting the kit sanding off all the molded on zimmeret from the armour plates. I also got around to sculpting Miho as the tanks commander. She's so tiny, I used a regular commander figure as a guide for scale but her head looks way bigger because of her hair. Painting the tank was a bit of fun. Pulled out the airbrush to work up the brown through a couple colours. Army painter fur brown coloured prime then P3 gun corps brown then same with some white mixed in. Then some shading with Army Painter strong tone wash then some dry brushing with gun corps mixed with white then some very thinned darker brown filters to shift the colour back to looking a bit darker. The wheels were sprayed grey and washed and dry brushed light grey. All the tools around the hull were picked out in black then painted then I glued the tank together. Today I dropped by Office Works and printed a sheet of GuP school and tank team logos in a bunch of sizes. I cut a few out to check they looked right on the tank then carefully trimmed them to the logo edges and painted the edges of the paper so there wouldn't be white edges then painted the backs with PVA glue. Then I edged the Anglerfish logo and added in the angler and darkened it's outlines since they faded reduced so small. As soon as the logos were in place the tank stopped looking historical and had that anime look. My friend wanted to make a mold of Miho before I painted her so made one with Pinkysil then cleaned her up primed her and got some paint on her. Damn it's not easy painting such a tiny character. Especially trying to paint the red edging on the collar and anime hair and eyes. My friend Andrew pulled out his collection of Team Yankee terrain to take photos.

😁 That's an addition you don't see very often to tanks, but given your interest in both miniatures and anime I guess it's only a logical one.
