I spent way too much time on these fences but I'm happy with how they turned out so guess it was worth it.
The tower went from generic grey to funky browns and rust and green weathering all over the place, then I went nuts with grass growing out of all the nooks and crannies around the base of it, I think it's turned out as a really interesting piece despite all the stupid skulls everywhere.
And now more WIP shots
I kinda wonder if I should have left them like this and not added flock to the bases, oh well too late now.

I may need to take new final pics, these were taken with the morning sun rather than a flash and the white balance has really washed out a lot of the colour variation, everythings a bit blue too.

ReplyDeleteHaha, you need to tell us what colours you used, or at leat photograph them all. The red bricks are interesting on tower.
Really great work there. One thing you can do if you feel the green stands of grass are too bright, is wash them with watered down scorched brown or other browns...dulls them down a bit. Not sure if you need to do that though, these look great.
